Mission Statement/Guidelines

Mission Statement

Knowledge is built upon the knowledge that came before. And to paraphrase Descartes, we can only know that any bit of knowledge we have is true is if we know that the foundations of that knowledge are also true.

This online resource is designed to show the interconnections between all subjects, to show that the foundations of any bit of information is built upon true and correct.

Guidelines
  • We write the blog using language that is appropriate for all ages. The explanations are written so that a pre-teen can understand them.
  • We keep the entries as short as possible, yet provide full explanations. There are a billion resources already online - we can link liberally to those resources. There is no ego - there is no desire to hold people within this particular resource.
  • All topics are interconnected and are built upon facts and knowledge that come before - First Principles. And so we talk about more advanced topics in terms of previous knowledge - and we actively link so that those foundations are easy to access.
  • Sometimes it's hard to differentiate between fact and opinion. To the best of any contributor's ability, write freely about facts and when needed, identify opinions as such.
  • Everything we do is done in Selfless Service to others (known as Karma Yoga in some circles). Write and explain as if you were doing so to your own family and friends.
Where might you have come from?

Where might we go?
